My personal estimation
|
Soviet times taste perfect example with some modern improvements like
solid Italian double bed with orthopedic mattress in the bedroom. Clean,
decent but a bit old-fashioned. The location is terrific. There is an
opportunity to leave a car at the guarded parking place at some extra
charge.

Surroundings
|
When the 5 stars hotel is only across the street you can enjoy its
services as if you had a room at it. For example English-speaking
doctor on call will be only a few steps away. The hotel has a
splendid pass through between Nevsky and your street. The major
city sites are in about 15-20 min walk along Nevsky prospect.

Cleaning and linen/towels change once a week.

A drop of criticism
|
Gas heater in the bath though automatic. The landlady requires the deposit
in the amount of 50 Euro to be sure that you will neither break her red
wood table nor take her apartment's keys back to your country. Of course
you get this deposit back on the date of your departure when you return
the keys.
