Located in the historical building of the stock exchange, designed by the architect
T. de Thomon, constructed in the beginning of the XIX century. The world's largest
naval museum, the oldest Russian museum, founded in 1709. The museum numbers over
800,000 items, including "The Grandfather of the Russian navy" - the old boat of
Peter the Great, models of vessels, examples of armaments and military machinery
and marine paintings.
